Enough with the Song Challenge!

This week has been a pretty awesome week so far :)

Friday night, i had to work, so that sucked.. but not too bad because the whole time i was looking foward to saturday :)
Saturday we all went to goosepond. It was a ton of fun :) first of all we were just fishing. we had only been there like ten minutes, and Brit had already caught TWO fish! TWO. in TEN minutes.it was all because of her pink zebra. im secretly really jealous of that thing, because it really does work.
After fishing for a while, we proceeded to have our picnic. it was just your typical picnic.. sandwhiches.. chips... desserts.. the usual.
After that, people just scattered into doing whatever they wanted to do. Isaac, Mallory, Blake, and Kenzie went swimming in the lake. i stood there an watched them, because i really wanted to go swimming.. but i was scared. Scared of being super cold, and scared of what mightget me in the deep, dark lake. Finally, they convinced me to come swimming. i wouldnt jump off on my own though. its alot easier just to be thrown off.. and the reason being is because whenever i get thrown off, i dont have to decide when to jump, because the people throwing me in will decide that for me! well anyways, Ross&Kirk took the honors of throwing me in. one got my hands and one got my feet and the did the swing, swing, swing, throw. and it was so. much. fun. but then i wanted to get out again, so that i could be thrown back in, but apparently i didnt have the upper body strength to hoist myself onto the deck. so ross&kenzie picked me up out of the water and put me on the deck. i was absolutely AMAZED at their strength. and the most amazing part of it is.. once ross left, kenzie had to do it by himself.. i wish i was that strong. lol. but anywayyyss.. i forgot about telling the part about where isaac ate a fuzzy caterpillar. yes, he really ate it. put it in his mouth and chewed it up and swallowed it. (in isaac voice)EW! eventually, April and Hilary came too and they also came swimming. and at one point Britney came swimming too and i think Aly did.. i cant remember for sure though. About half of the people there was going to the singing at Dalton that night, so they left at around 2:30 or 3. that just left me, hillyg, blake, april, kenzie, andrew, and jessica. we stayed until about 5, playing basketball and swimming some more and swinging and just having a grand time :)
that night when  and hil got home we just went to zaxbys and went shopping for a while.
The next day was EASTER! the easter bunny was really good to me. he brought me too much candy. and some of those reese eggs, which by the way are SO much better than regular reese cups, for sure. I took off all day sunday so i was able to go to church both times and also have family time in between. that night, part of the tuesday night club and some toney-ans went to ocharleys...yum:)
Monday was boring.
Tuesday was boring.
....until tuesday night club! we went to Rafaels.. and it was amazing! then we just went back to britskee's and kirkskee's and just talked and talked and tried to make rosskee and britskee throw up and talked some more. it was a good time.
Today.. has been filled with bad weather! i actually got really scared earlier. haley's been here all day too, cause she's terrified of storms, and if she wasnt here she'd be at home by her lonesome.
sometimes i really like stormy days.
they make for good lazy days with my best friend :)

Beach Trip!

This post is gonna be about 7000 miles long, thats why ive been putting it off because i know it cant be short! so this past weekend, i went to the beach with some of the best people in the world!

it was amazing, to say the least :) after i got off work thursday night(it wasnt until like 12am) i went to hilarys to stay there for the night. well, we didnt go to sleep until like 3:00. and we had to be up at 4:30! so we slept for about an hour and a half, obviously, and we got up and headed to April&Blake's house. it was wierd driving that early in the morning! it didnt start getting really good&light till when we were around scottsboro. anyways, we got to blake&aprils safely, then loaded up with them and went to cracker barrel! (my second breakfast of the morning, because me and hil stopped by hardees earlier) it was DELICIOUS. then we met up with br.larry&family to drive along with them to the sunny florida! i dont have too much to say about the trip down there, because i slept like the whole time almost. Logan(who was riding with br larry) said that he didnt even know that i was with them until like 4 or 5 hours into the trip, because every time we stopped i just stayed in the car asleep. but it seemed that every time i woke up, it was to april's beautiful singing voice!

once we got to florida, we went to red lobster. and let me tell you,,,, red lobster was freakin amazing. theyre cheese biscuits make me want to marry somebody! ah. but anyways... florida felt so good! it was so warm and sunny there! and what made it even better is that i knew that it was kinda cold here in alabama.. so it made my heart happy :) after red lobster, we went back to the house.. where we discovered that there was a pool!! woo hoo! but we didnt stay there long before our strangers came to pick us up. yes, me hilly and april stayed with strangers that night. well atleast to us, they were complete strangers. mama kim knew the woman though(sister crystal) the two girls that we stayed with was Leah and Kayla. they were SUCH sweet girls! i cant wait to go see them again sometime!

and they had the sweetest little chiwawa(i know thats not how you spell it. i just dont know how you spell it. lol) its name was Peaches! it was precious:) that night, i slept like a baby! i slept like a baby every night i was there though.. like i havent had such good sleep in so long!

The next day, Saturday, we got up at aroun 8 their time to get ready to go to the beach! Leah and Kayla didnt get to come with us though, cause they had stuff to do to get ready for the singing that night. We met back up at the house that mama kim, daddy hughey and the boys were staying at and then headed to mickeyDs for breakfast! then, off to the beach. we went to melbourne beach that day, which was still like two hours from where we were staying. we had to make several stops so logan and blake and avery could get some clothes to swim in. it took FOREVER to get to the beach. and we ended up only getting to spend about 2 hours at the beach that day. but it was absolutely beauitful!

we were forved to leave before too long because we had to get back to the house(where Shaun, Donovan, and Curtis were waiting on us, cause they had just gotten to florida) to get ready in time for the singing which was at 6. the ride back to the house didnt seem NEAR as long as the ride to the beach!

we got back to the house and only had about an hour & a half to get ready. thankfully, curt shaun and donovan had already gotten ready by the time we got there. but still.. we only had an hour and half for 8 people to get ready. showers and all! we managed to actually make it on time to the singing though! im pretty sure that no group of people has never gotten ready as fast as we did that day!

When we got the the singing, there really wasnt many people there obviously, considering that there isnt many people that go to church there. it was just two groups.. blakes group and then the home group from there. i was thinking that it was gonna be lame.. pessimistic me.. but i actually really really enjoyed it. both of the groups did awesome! we ate bbq sandwiches there.. and i know that anybody that is reading this is probably like 'why is she telling me what she ate?' im telling you because i have NEVER been so happy and thankful to have bbq sanwiches in my LIFE! we had skipped lunch so we were all starving! and yes, i said sandwicheS! i ate TWO!!!

After the singing, we went back to the house for just a bit and hung out with the boys while they went swimming. leah, kayla, and a few other girls from that church whose names escape me at the moment.. came over also. on friday night when we were out there we kept hearing this noise back behind that house and we were like AH! ALLIGATORS! but then we convinced ourselves that that was probably too good to be true, and settled to believe that the noises were just humongous frogs. but sister crystal told us saturday night when they were over that there was a big swap just right behind that house and that noise was indeed alligators! real, live, wild alligators! how cool is that!?!?! (here comes one of the best parts of the whole vacation) if i have failed to mention this yet, Grandmother(blake&april's) came with us on the trip. Grandmother is an 87 year old little ole woman just cute as can be. well whenever she heard that those were really alligators.. she disappeared for a moment. when she returned.. she had a flashlight. and she started creeping to the door of the net that surrounds the pool(so alligators and such cant get in) and as shes walking she says under her breath 'im gonna go get me a gator.' and off she goes to go find her a gator at 12am! by her little ole self! she was back within a minute though, but she wasnt giving up. the rest of the vacation you could always find her at a window peeking out it to see if she could 'find her a gator'. she also attempted atleast another time or two with her little flashlight to go try to find her one. she now goes by either the name of Crocodile Hunter or Crocodile Dundee. oh how i love her!

Sunday morning, we went to church! and on our way to church, i looked up in the sky and there was an airplane drawing 'Jesus loves you ' in the sky! i couldnt believe my eyes! that kind of stuff only happens in movies!

church was good i guess.. its really hard to tell though from where i sit lol. but Br Larry was sure to talk talk talk just like he always does:) hes such a sweetheart lol. but we ate there after church.. then decided to skip out on church that night to try to get back to the beach for atleast a few more hours! this time, Donovan, curt and shaun got to come with us.we went to cocoa beach this time, and it felt like it took us 7 hours to get there! we didnt get there till probably either 6 or 7 so we only got to stay about an hour and a half before it got dark, it was fun though!

there was also a full moon over the ocean that night, and it was absolutely beautiful, but i didnt get to get a pic of it because my camera was acting dumb.

it took forever to get home, we didnt get there till about 10. we stopped and got some pizza from pizza hut, and again i was SO thankful for that pizza cause i was starving! Leah and Kayla ended up coming back over and all the girls went swimming except for me. i stayed out and hung with Blake because the boys were talking about how cold the pool was the night before, and im not much for cold pools.. especially when im that tired! we played spoons after the girls got out of the pool.. and just hung out and it was a great night.!

Monday morning, time to come home :(

we went to cracker barrel again monday morning, delicious once again, and then headed back home. i slept a little on the way home, but not near as much as i did on the way. before we got out of florida, we stopped at a souvenier shop. i got myself a little bracelet. me april and hilly were looking at these really cute necklaces but for some reason we didnt get them . once we got back in the car, blake hands back three of those necklaces to us! hes such a sweetie that he bought all three of us one!!

on the way home, we mainly just sang to the New Harmony cd or talked about super serious stuff. at one point, it got a little too serious, which sent me into depression mode, but its all good because who better to bring me out of depression mode than April, Hil, Blake, Crocodile Dundee, Mama Kim, and Daddy Hughey!?! we stopped at some terryaki place on the way home to eat, where i accidentally ordered a large plate. let me tell you, theres a LOT of rice on the large plate! anyways, after that, we finally made it safely back home. i ended up just staying at hils house that night again cause i had to be at work the next morning, and work is a lot closer to her house than mine.

all in all, i really really really really really didnt want to leave florida! it was so perfect. It was warm, sunny, beautiful palm trees, planes writing about how Jesus loves me in the sky, great friends, beaches, and so close to the magic of Disney :)

My Beautiful Hair

Today was AMAZING. i went fishing! did i catch a single fish?! NO! did i catch a single leaf?! A TON! but another thing that i did catch was some sun. oh yeah:) me olivia and jessica went fishing at sharon johnston park. i guess you really cant call it fishing though since no fish were caught. jessica, however, caught a tree. yes. a whole tree. she got her line caught up in the tree. and we tried and tried to get it out but we couldnt for the life of us! so, since sweet sweet ross just lives like two seconds from there, he came to help us. luckily, he had two sidekicks with him. Ben and Kirk. after they came to our rescue.. we really didnt stay that much longer because i had to go get my hair cut at 6.. and it was already a little after 4. olivia ended up coming with me to get my hair cut and lindz came and got hers cut too. and eventually, jessica showed up and got hers cut too! it took forever. but anyways. i had got my hair cut like pretty short. like up to my shoulders almost. but then i saw this pic and wanted my hair cut like the girls in the picture.. and her hair was short. and lindz and olivia told me not to do it because i would look ugly and fat (great friends i have, huh? ;) ) but jessica told me that i should definitely go for it. so... i did. and i like it pretty good... but then when i got home and got to looking at the senior pics that hil took of me last night and saw how extremely beautiful my hair was..(not to be concieted haha) i miss it so much already. and i dont think thats a good thing at all! but oh well.. its hair and itll grow back. atleast i didnt do something absolutely retarded like get a tattoo of an aligator on my ankle ;)

Day 5

Day 5 - A song that reminds you of somebody.

So many songs, so many people. however, for this post, i think im gonna try to keep it down to one song :)

Meet in the Middle reminds me of Lindz for sure. We danced like crazy to this song in her room for forever one night like maybe 3 or 4 years ago. and it has just stuck! every time i hear it, it never fails, sweet little linzell Washington pops into my head.

Life Goes On!

This morning i went to go see about a new job... and hopefully i'll end up getting it! im praying harder than i have in a while haha and anybody who happens to stumble across this and read it... PLEASE pray that ill get this job! it would be so perfect for me and i want it SO bad. but anywayyyyys. after i went to go see about that i went to olivia's.. and jessica bowen ended up coming over there and little Alec was over there cause olivia was babysitting him. after that.. i went to go meet up with Hil and take some senior pics. we went to sharon johnston to take them.. and im pretty sure that they turned out fantastic! i only saw them a little bit though but what i saw of them looks really good! then we ended up going to Mellow Mushroom with Ben and Kirk haha and turns out it was TRIVIA NIGHT! woo hoo:) so we had our team "GainLohAmble" and needless to say, we stunk so bad! ben and hillyg kept trying to make us cheat cause they were looking up answers on their phones but i didnt want to cheat cause it took all the fun out of it and im really competitive and love the feeling of being right about something. and of course kirk didnt want to cheat because he's the little perfect honest praying angel haha. but we laughed ALLLLLLLLL night. it was seriously so. much. fun. i really do wish that the rest of the gang was with us tonight though! :( but i guess they cant come down from their mountain every single day! haha. in other news, i have been SO stinking excited about going to the beach this weekend with april hillyg blake and shaun! its gonna be a blast forreal :) no work for 4 days? sounds like a major treat to me! especially when i get to spend it with 4 of the best people in the entire world! ah i love my friends :)

okay, so two or three turned into four. haha. but yeah, all of these make me sad. i would say that they are all from a "happier" time in my life.. but really when i think about it.. im happier than i ever was at that time of my life. because then i was always stressed out about one thing or the other and generally always fighting too. but anyways. Born This Way. i hate this song because i know its talking about gayism. and i hate gayism. it makes me want to puke my guts up all over the place. i pretty much beat up my radio if it ever comes on, trying to change the channel. and if im alone, i start yelling at it. no lady gaga, you are NOT on the right track, baby.

Somewhere With You. i hate this song just because its dumb and i dont like the beat to it or the words to it because its depressing as all get out. but now it always makes me think of ross cause i know he likes it. but i still hate it. kenny chesney has just gone downhill. he needs more songs like when the sun goes down. now thats my kind of speed right there! Then, maybe i would rather be somewhere with him.

I hate this song because.. i really have no logical reasoning behind why i hate this song i just hate it so much. for some reason it depresses me and makes me feel like im all alone in the world. theres several songs that do that.. but this one has to top them all. this song definitely makes me need to use somebody.

its really really hard to decide what my favorite song like of all time is.. but right now one of my favorite songs is Blow by kesha. that and E.T., theyre both very close. by anyways....

The Weekend of Good Weather!

This weekend was a definite mixture of good and bad!
Friday started off awesome:) me mallory and michaela went muddin, and i got COVERED in mud and soaked with water. it was really fun, the bad part about that was it was FREEZING COLD. i cant wait to go back when its warmer, that way being cold wont be the only thing im thinking about haha. after that we went back to malpal's house and ate chicken and watched part of eclipse, until i had to leave to go to work. i worked friday night from like 4 to about 1:15. it wasnt that bad of a night though because hilly g, shelby, jk, and ross came in to see me! after i got off work, i went to hil's house to stay with her & shelb. the next morning we woke up, went to walmart, gathered our goodies, and me up with ben, ross, and jk at sharon johnston park for a delightful picnic and fishing. the picnic was awesome. but the fish werent biting so i just ended up laying on the blanket in the grass and almost fell asleep(hoping for a tan/sunburn, but that didnt work out as planned) we had to leave there at around 2 because i had to be back at work at 4! :( got off at about 12:45, then went back to hilarys to stn. sunday morning, we got up at 10, got ready super fast, and went to big cove with ben and ross. surprisingly, we wasnt even late even though we woke up at 10! afterwards, the 4 of us went to red robin where we got these cool little red robin cards. i suggest you get one theyre cool. but after red robin, i had to go off to work once again!! even though jaylen had made clear to me earlier that day that "today is not a work day!" haha but when i got to work, there was another girl there that apparently i was suppose to be helping train, and that made me really happy, because hopefully now she'll get all the crappy weekend hours and i wont:) YES!!!! :)
but anyways, this weekend was full of emotions, thats one thing for sure.
im really looking foward to the fun festivites we have planned for this week! :)
