Yesterday, i was thankful for my Holyghost. im sure that all of yall have been surprised that that wasnt the very first day of what i was thankful for, but i saved it for this day because as of yesterday, i have had the Holyghost for 5 months(: and so far it has been the best 5 months of my life! so yesterday, i was more than thankful for my ticket(:

Today, November 14
Today i am thankful for one of my best friends, Haley. today is her 21st birthday! Time for a little reminisce. most people have only known Haley for about 2 and a half years, because thats how long shes had the Holyghost. but me and her go way back. we met through Whitney, because she used to live on Whitneys street. i can vaguely remember going over to her house a time or two whenever i had spent the night with Whitney or something. One time i'm pretty sure we watched atleast part of Harry Potter over at her house.. and i thought it was so wierd because she had her tv in her closet lol. i dont think i ever told her about that though lol. we never really were close then though, we just knew of each other pretty much. Then one day, she moved into my neighborhood. and from then on we just started hanging out. and it had got to where we were seriously with each other like every.single.day. this all started when i was in 5th grade, so she wouldve been in 7th grade. We were with each other so much, that by the time that i got into middle school with her, the bus driver just knew that it was okay if i got off the bus at her house, or that she got off the bus at my house (they make a big deal about that, for all homeschoolers that may be reading this) My mom would take us to school in the mornings and eat our cereal in plastic cups.. and our favorite kinds of mornings were FOGGY MORNINGS! mom is super afraid of fog.. she gets like claustrophobic in it. So on foggy days, we would get checked in at like 10 or 10:30.. and im sure there was a time or two that we just didnt go at all. We had even convinced our moms to let us spend the night with each other on school nights (something that with most would never be acceptable!) I could seriously write soooo much about what all we did.. stretching from playing battle of the kitchens and jailbreak with the neighborhood kids to going to the smokies. but then when she went to high school we just kind of grew apart, i guess since we werent in the same school anymore and because she ended up moving out of my neighborhood. whenever i got to high school and i would see her in the halls and stuff we would wave at each other but we would never just stop and talk. it was really sad actually because she was my very best friend for most of middle school!
When Whitney died, Haley came around. she came her house the day after, and then to the funeral and everything. She was really tore up about it too, because that was one of her good childhood friends. she felt kind of out of place at the funeral and everything because really the only ones that she knew were me and Ben, but of course me and Ben were happy to have her back. (her and Ben were also really close too, he was just as much her brother as he was mine and still is) I guess she was happy to be back too, because she just kept coming around! then she started talking about how she wanted to come to church. and that was unheard of from her! because when we had been such good friends i would try to get her to come with me but she wouldnt, not even once, because she thought that she was just a target for people to lay hands on her. (she used to go alot when she was little, shes brother Buford's step-granddaughter and her brother has the Holyghost too) so she came to church with us, and then she started talking about how she wanted the Holyghost. and you could tell she really wanted it, but she knew that she couldnt just decide that she wanted it and come get it, she had to go on God's time. but she kept coming with us, and she would always get on to me and Amber for eating and talking during church because she wanted to pay attention! well to spare a whole testimony.. she ended up running to the alter (behind brother David's back.. he was still preaching to the lost people behind her before he realized that she was down in the alter praying) and got the Holyghost! and she ended up marrying my cousin/brother Jared.. which was just dandy because i had always wanted Jared to marry one of my close friends that way i could always stay close to him too! so today, i am thankful for my bestfriend(:
